Mocking.Dev

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Mocking.Dev handles information when you visit or use our website, mock data generator, and developer tools (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information you create

Mock data generation and schema processing are designed to take place locally in your browser. We do not intentionally transmit or store the mock data, schemas, or other content you enter into these tools on our application servers. Please avoid entering real personal, confidential, or production data when using the Service.

2. Information collected automatically

When you access the Service, our hosting infrastructure and privacy-focused analytics service may automatically process limited technical and usage information. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the date and time of a request. We use this information to operate, secure, monitor, and improve the Service. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or sell personal information.

3. Browser storage and cookies

The Service may use local storage, session storage, and functional cookies to remember settings such as your theme, layout, locale, navigation state, or current work. This information remains in your browser until it expires or you clear it through your browser settings. Disabling browser storage may prevent some features from working as intended.

4. Service providers and external resources

We may rely on hosting, analytics, content delivery, and other technical providers to operate the Service. These providers may process limited information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices. Some generated data or pages may also contain links to external resources. Visiting an external website is subject to that website’s privacy policy, not this one.

5. Data retention and security

Technical logs and analytics data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, and service improvement, subject to our providers’ retention settings. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no internet service or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

6. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for a general developer audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
